Outfit // How To Wear A Camouflage Jacket

If you’re struggling with the idea of how to wear a camouflage jacket, you’re not alone. It’s actually a common fashion dilemma, so I hope today’s outfit post gives you an idea how you can wear one yourself, and inspires you to step out of your comfort zone and try different styles.

Camo everything is definitely out of my comfort zone, even though I see others wearing it and think it looks great on them. And while I’m the first to agree that we don’t need to jump on the bandwagon for every fashion trend – and that we need to stay true to ourselves – there are some instances that we let fear take over and prevent us from trying new things.

This has definitely been the case for me and camouflage, because I thought it wasn’t feminine enough for my style. I had a moment of “Oh, I think I can pull this off” when I found this specific jacket, because the drawstring at the waist already give the jacket a more feminine look. I also figured that for the price point ($53cdn reg price; but currently on sale), what did I really have to lose. So, right then and there I decided to take on the challenge of figuring out how I could wear it in a way that is true to me, to keep up my confidence, while I wear it.

I’m happy to say that the challenge was a success! I felt great wearing the camo jacket with all black; and to give the look a more feminine vibe – while still keeping it casual – I decided to wear it with my Chanel handbag, cat-eye sunglasses and a ribbon bow in my hair.

Next, I’ll try wearing this jacket with a dress.
