Outfit // Dahlia Flower Fields (near Toronto)

We need to take a moment to be in awe over the fact that there are flower fields out there. Like seriously – A FIELD FULL OF FLOWERS! After visiting this one (Andrews Scenic Acres in Milton, just outside of Toronto) my life is now complete. 😉 Also, can you tell that I totally matched my outfit to the flowers? Because life is more fun that way, right?!

One of the things I love about Instagram is being exposed to so many cool places that I never knew existed, or that I never even thought about looking into. Fields full of beautiful flowers, that you actually have access to, is one of them (I would have just assumed they were all private). I was so so happy to be among so many pretty flowers and I really didn’t want to leave. Because I decided to match the flowers, I wore this comfortable red/burgundy sweater – I love the fit and colour so much, that I’ve been wearing on repeat lately. It also comes in a bunch of different colours and is under $20! H&M has so many affordable sweaters right now that are FABulous – so make sure you check them out.

I paired the sweater with a skirt because I wanted my outfit to have a more feminine vibe, also to match the flowers. That being said, I wanted to be comfortable and casual, so I opted for a pleated skirt made of a jersey fabric, because it’s such a easy fabric to move in.

To pull the look together I wore black over the knee boots which you really can’t go wrong with, in my opinion. I think they go perfectly with all types of outfits, and with both skirts and pants alike. Check out how I wear them (with the same sweater in yellow and a more fitted skirt) in this post.
