Outfit // A Pop Of Plaid

Outfit // A Pop Of Plaid

What I’m Wearing
Joe Fresh Plaid Top | Zara Coat (similar here – and this black coat is really cute for spring!) | H&M Black Jeans (only $10!) | Rebecca Minkoff Handbag | TOMS boots (all black version here) | Black Sunglasses (similar here) | Club Monaco hat with pom (similar here and here)

One of my favourite ways of dressing is to wear a neutral color and then add a ‘pop’ of some sort – whether it’s with another colour, pattern, print or texture.

For this outfit, I wanted my plaid shirt to pop, so I made sure the rest of the outfit was all black. I’m in love with this black and white plaid top, and this styling approach allows it to be the star of the show!

Plaid is normally something we think about wearing for fall and winter, but it’s also a great way to transition into spring. There are also SO MANY AMAZING plaid top variations this season, and they’re all making my heart flutter. Every silhouette you can think off comes in plaid – off the shoulder, cut-outs, one shoulder, lots of ruffles, tank tops (both thin and thick strap), ties at the hem, short sleeves, long sleeves…ladies, I could go on and on! If you missed the selection of my favourites above, make sure you scroll back up and take a look.

Try re-creating this look with a fun updated plaid top for spring!

What’s your favourite way to wear plaid? How to you add a ‘pop’ of some sort to your outfits? I’d love to hear from you in the comment section below!

Cheers,
Victoria
