I don’t even know where to begin describing how amazing Steven Tai‘s spring summer 2014 collection is. Honestly, no words can do it justice. The pictures above cannot even do it justice.
The textiles in this collection are fa-nominal. It was after the runway show when Steven was being interviewed that we truly learned how in depth the process of creating each piece really is. The amount of detail that was put into each textile, into each garment is incredible. Some pieces had not just one, not just two, but three layers of detail. Laser cutouts, embroidery and silk screen printing are only a small sample of techniques Steven used in this collection; all combined into one top notch piece.
I also enjoyed the colour pallet of Steve Tai’s collection. It’s very soft and smooth, giving me a very zen feeling. How much do you want to cozy up in those pastel ombre pieces?
