Outfit // Making It Work

Fashion Trends and Outfit Inspiration by Style Blogger A Side Of Vogue

I have a confession to make.

While I love this top, because it’s breezy (great for the warm weather!), on trend, and ever so pretty, I’ve had the hardest time finding a way to wear it that’s flattering on me.

You’ve seen me wear it here with pants, when I was touring Peller Estates Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake; and while that’s okay for a casual look, it’s doesn’t do my figure any justice. It also doesn’t give the top (or my entire look) the wow factor I know it has the potential for.

After tearing everything I own out of my closet, trying on all the possibilities, I finally had a style epiphany! This top looks best on me with a high waisted skirt!

Why? Because being able to tuck it in at my waist, accentuates my smallest point, creating a more flattering silhouette; but, at the same time, the top still has that easy breezy look I fell in love with in store.

Lesson Learned: When you love an item in your closet, but are struggling with how to wear it, take the time to try it on with as many different options as possible. Don’t rush the process. Take your time and enjoy it. You’ll end up with an outfit that makes you feel confident, and looks good on you.

What types of clothing do you find hardest to wear? Let me know in the comment section at the end of this post!

xo,
Victoria
