Outfit // The Little Black Dress

You’ve probably heard it said numerous times: “everyone needs to own a little black dress; it’s a wardrobe staple”.

But, the real question is: if you opened your closet right now, would you actually find one in it? Do you actually own a LBD?

I’ve had a few in my time, but in the last few years I have grown out of the ones I did have (both size and maturity wise), and never ended up buying a new one. The truth is, I had forgotten the benefits of a little black dress until I put on this pretty black lace dress. Suddenly, I had something that I could throw on no matter what the occasion, without much thought, and still look and feel polished.

So, my question to you is this: do you own a little black dress? If you had an event to go tonight, and you opened your closet, could you pull out a little black dress, throw it on and walk out the door without worry; knowing you look great?
