{Valentine’s Flowers from Klay, Magazines and Healthy Smoothies}
Happy Friday Friends!!
Apparently, all I did this week was eat. No matter what it was, I seemed to want to eat everything in sight. It happens though, right? Let’s blame it on the freezing cold weather, or the fact that people seem to be getting sick and my body must be fighting it off. 😉 That is, if I even need an excuse for pigging out.
While most of my indulgence lately seems to be rather decadent, I cannot get enough of the healthy green smoothie I blogged about a few weeks back. It’s SO.GOOD. If you missed the post, you seriously need to jump over now to get the recipe. In the version pictured above, I added a blueberries, strawberries and pear to the recipe.
Lately it has been SO COLD in Toronto! For those of you living somewhere warmer, I am extremely jealous – I need to come visit you. STAT. I’m longing for bathing suits, sundresses and bare feet!
That being said, I own the warmest winter coat ever, and I’m not even exaggerating. With the hood up and my hands in my pockets, I honestly do not feel the cold at all. I had to wait for the streetcar for 10 minutes in the evening this week (at windchill of almost -40°C) but, because I was wearing my CMFR coat, I wasn’t the least bit cold.
My sister recently came back from Niagara Falls + Niagara-On-The-Lake and brought me back three different kinds of Maple Leaf Fudge; cookies and cream, double chocolate and maple. Each flavour was irresistible, but I’ve concluded that (double) chocolate is still my favourite.

I’m all about doughnuts right now! In fact, this week I signed up for Pink The Town’s Glitter Doughnut Making Party and excited doesn’t even begin to describe my anticipation for it. The workshop is March 7th (I’ll be posting to Instagram), so I the doughnuts pictured above are not my creation. They’re from Bakeryhaus and they sure are pretty and delicious! I recently had their macarons and white hot chocolate which are also amazing (you can check it out in this Life Lately post).

I was supposed to meet some friends for lunch at Grand Electric this weekend, but we totally forgot that most places are closed on Family Day. It threw a wrench in our plans, and I was pretty bummed at first because I was craving tacos!!
Enter Cadillac Lounge. It was next door, and open, so we decided to go there. I’ve never been before, because to be completely honest with you, the place is far from pretty and I like to eat in aesthetically pleasing places. That being said, I am so glad we went because not only did they have tacos, but they were delicious. Plus, I was in great company! I’d definitely go back.
