{Behind-The-Scenes of my first look for Shop For Jayu’s Photo shoot}

Happy Friday Friends!!

I feel like this week has been a rather long and exhausting one, but thrilling and amazing at the same time. One thing is for certain, I am definitely ready for the long weekend! How about you?

If you remember from my Life Lately blog post last week, I mentioned that I was collaboration with Shop For Jayu for their lookbook/Jayu Blogged photo shoot. Well, that happened this past Sunday and we had an amazing time! I can’t wait to show you all the final photos, but for now this behind-the-scenes photo of my first look, of two, will have to do (pictured above).

Interested in the dress I’m wearing? It’s the Pleated Metallic Tweed Dress from Forever 21. It you’re in need of a wardrobe refresher but aren’t looking to spent much money at the moment, there are so many great dresses in Forever 21 stores and online right now.

I received this personalized print from Nice Day Paper, and it practically brought tears to my eyes.  Donna took the time to read through my about page and curate what she thought best reflected who I was; which she then made into this lovely print for me. It’s one of the most thoughtful gifts I have received – I love it!

Benefit Cosmetics sent me such a fun gift (all of the above goodies), to introduce me to their new Roller Lash mascara, which comes out Feb 27th. I simply cannot get enough of it! It curls my lashes really nicely, which is great because I don’t have to use an eye-lash curler. I also really like how the little bristles separate my lashes.

I really do recommend you give this mascara a try when it comes out. I mostly use it for my ‘daytime’ make-up look, and since I’m normally in rush when I’m doing my make-up, I really appreciate skipping the eye-lash curler step. Every second counts when you’re in a rush, right? 😉

In addition to collaborating with Shop for Jayu on their Jayu Blogged photo shoot, this week I also took over their Instagram account. I had a great time with it. I started my morning off by sipping coffee while picking out my jewels for the day, and ended it with a trip to the mall to purchase a few last minute things for the shoot.

Recognize my ceramic mug? It’s from the Etsy x DAVIDsTEA collaboration I told you about last week. It was handmade by Toronto artisans, Yusuke and Naomi, from Akai Ceramic Studio.

With all the snow we’ve been having lately, I felt like I needed a little escape. Enter my decision to get a little crafty make a floral head crown. It’s actually really simple, and quite therapeutic.

I just bought cheap flowers and a wreath type thing (which had a few embellishments I took off) from the Dollarama. The flowers came in bunches, so I cut them into separate stems and just twisted them around the wreath until it was fully covered. That’s it – super simple!

By now, you’re probably already aware of my crush on Ferrero Rocher chocolates (see here and here).  Yesterday, I came home to this lovely surprise from Ferrero Rocher Canada, and I must admit, I had to take this photo pretty fast because my self control seems to be on vacation. I cannot resist them – every bite tastes like heaven!

Confession: about half of the big Ferrero heart has already been devoured – but I swear, it wasn’t ALL by me! 😉
