I don’t know about you, but I’m a firm believer that shoes need space. They need to breathe. They need attention. Although I understand why some people store their shoes in the original boxes (to keep them in pristine condition), and I’ve flirted with this idea before, I just can’t do it! I love to display my shoes so I can stare at them and admire their beauty! These pictures show various ways to display shoes in a closet, depending on the type of space you have: from a ginormous walk in closet, to a tiny walk in closet; from shelves next to your fireplace, to an antique cabinet in the hallway. If you really feel your shoes need to be stuck in boxes, how about finding a chic way of displaying a few at a time, rotating every once and awhile…just for a little fun?!
I totally agree with you! Shoes shouldn’t be hidden in boxes, they would get lonely!
By displaying them you see them all the time, and you don’t forget a pair. I think I would wear the same shoes all the time if different pairs weren’t within my reach everyday. If you hide it, you tend to forget I think.
