This is the outfit that caused me to fall in love with a matching top and bottom outfit. It was actually a window display showcasing this linen crop top and these high waisted linen pants that first caught my eye. I walked into the store and was disappointed when they didn’t have the crop top, in white, left in stock. I loved it so much though, that I bought it in green; which is also a stunning colour, and I knew I could wear into fall. Fortunately, I was able to find the white version online and my matching outfit dreams came true.
I came to realize three things about a matching top and bottom outfit: one, that it looks so striking; two, that it requires no effort in terms of planning; and three, that when you want to change up the look you can pair the two pieces with other items in your wardrobe. Win-Win-Win.
Since then, I have been drawn to all things matchy-matchy when it comes to fashion. In fact, I’ve rounded up what I’m wearing, as well as, some matching sets that I’m crushing on right now in between the photos of this outfit.

Both a big cozy cardigan and a chic blazer look amazing over the crop top. The pants look so great with any top; my go-to pieces being a thin knit top, chambray shirt, or chunky knit sweater.
