Yesterday I went on a mission to attend Beyond The Rack‘s first ever luxury sample sale…I say mission because it seriously turned out to be that. But, it was heaps of fun and the kind of atmosphere I love!  The turnout for the noon opening was incredible. Parking was so hard to find as the paid lots were all full and the streets were all packed; the line to get in was around the corner and blocks long; the heat was insane…about 30degrees. I decided to wear a cute wool shirt, in black = a stupid idea. After about an hour of waiting, I finally got to enter the sale. You know when you’ve waited in line for so long you can’t bare to leave just on the principal that you would have wasted your time for nothing?! That’s how I felt…but I’m glad I stuck it out!

Packed with people and lots of good deals! The flyer doesn’t lie when it tells you up to 85% off! While some items were only about 10%, and others around 85%, I found the majority to be around 50% off….which is still an awesome deal! Remember this is a luxury sale so even on sale, most of the prices are still high…but if you have a craving for some new luxe goods and want to treat yourself, then I suggest making your way to this sample sale today or tomorrow!

There are tables full of purses…with designers such as Prada, Chloé, Michael Kors, Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci (heaps of brown monogrammed totes with orange handles), Dior, Marc Jacobs….oh gosh, honestly so many more brands. There are a few reps but mostly only one or two of each. The major shoe brands are Jimmy Choo (see the gorgeous ones above!!) and Michael Kors, but still other brands with great choices (I slipped my feat into a sexy pair of Gucci black suede platform pumps…if only they had been a half size smaller 🙁 boo! ). There were sunglasses, wallets, belts, umbrellas, silk scarves (if there were any Hermès scarves they were gone by the time I got in…damn! But one can hope they’ll bring in more stalk…maybe…possibly…?!).

Overall, definitely exciting and some amazing deals to be had! So if you have time to stop by (maybe your lunch break, or after work?!), you may just come home with a piece of luxury 🙂
